Online Seminar on Kidney Health for All 2024
On March 16, 2024, the Sonar Bangla Foundation (SBF) hosted a special social awareness online seminar on “World Kidney Day, 2024”. The seminar was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of kidney health and preventing kidney disease.
Dr. Abu Hena M. Kamal, President of SBF, was the chief guest at the seminar. Mr. Asadul Islam, Senior Secretary (Retd.), Chairman, Advisory Board, SBF-B, was the guest of honour. Both of them are well-regarded experts in their respective fields and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the seminar.
World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on the second Thursday of March to raise awareness about the importance of kidneys and how to prevent kidney disease. This year’s theme was “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere.” The SBF seminar was an excellent opportunity for people to learn more about kidney health and how to take care of their kidneys.
The online format of the seminar was particularly noteworthy, as it allowed people from all over the world to participate and access the valuable information being shared. The seminar included presentations from experts in the field of nephrology, as well as interactive sessions where participants could ask questions and share their experiences. Kidney disease is a growing problem worldwide, and it is estimated that one in ten people has some form of chronic kidney disease. The good news is that there are many steps people can take to reduce their risk of developing kidney disease, such as maintaining a healthy diet, staying physically active, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
In conclusion, the SBF’s online seminar on “World Kidney Day, 2024” was an excellent opportunity for people to learn more about kidney health and how to prevent kidney disease. The participation of Dr. Abu Hena M. Kamal and Mr. Asadul Islam made it even more valuable, as they brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the seminar. I hope that the seminar was a great success and helped raise awareness about the importance of kidney health.
