Dear Bay Area Bangladeshi Community Members,

As we celebrate the enduring spirit of Bangladesh’s new independence, Sonar Bangla Foundation (SBF), the largest kidney dialysis provider in Bangladesh, is delighted to invite you to it’s Bay Area Annual Event and Fundraiser 2024. The event will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in San Jose.

This year has been particularly challenging for Bangladesh, with economic struggles and political turmoil placing a significant financial burden on our patients. Now, more than ever, your support is crucial. By attending this event, you will help provide much-needed assistance to the underprivileged kidney patients in Bangladesh.

The evening will include updates on our ongoing programs, a delicious dinner, and entertainment by the national award winner Fahmida Nabi and the Bangladesh’s rising music sensation Muza!

SBF Programs

• Dialysis Centers: 23 centers across the country and growing.
• Nursing Institute: Providing quality nursing education with subsidized tuition to train future skilled nurses.
• Kidney Disease Screening and Prevention Program: The only program in Bangladesh focused on early assessment and prevention of kidney disease in rural areas.
• Biomedical Research and Development Center at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park: The first organization in Bangladesh to assemble dialysis machines with in-house expertise.
• Upcoming Plans: The establishment of a Kidney Transplant center.
